( peace be upon her)
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ يَا بِنْتَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ
alssalamu `alayki ya binta rasuli allahi
Peace be upon you, O daughter of the Messenger of Allah.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ يَا بِنْتَ نَبِيِّ ٱللَّهِ
alssalamu `alayki ya binta nabiyyi allahi
Peace be upon you, O daughter of the Prophet of Allah.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ يَا بِنْتَ حَبِيبِ ٱللَّهِ
alssalamu `alayki ya binta habibi allahi
Peace be upon you, O daughter of the most beloved of Allah.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ يَا بِنْتَ خَلِيلِ ٱللَّهِ
alssalamu `alayki ya binta khalili allahi
Peace be upon you, O daughter of the Intimate Servant of Allah.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ يَا بِنْتَ صَفيِّ ٱللَّهِ
alssalamu `alayki ya binta safiyyi allahi
Peace be upon you, O daughter of the Choice of Allah.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ يَا بِنْتَ امِينِ ٱللَّهِ
alssalamu `alayki ya binta amini allahi
Peace be upon you, O daughter of the Trustee of Allah.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ يَا بِنْتَ خَيْرِ خَلْقِ ٱللَّهِ
alssalamu `alayki ya binta khayri khalqi allahi
Peace be upon you, O daughter of the best of Allah’s creatures.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ يَا بِنْتَ افْضَلِ انْبِيَاءِ ٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَمَلاَئِكَتِهِ
alssalamu `alayki ya binta afdali anbiya’i allahi wa rusulihi wa mala’ikatihi
Peace be upon you, O daughter of the best of Allah’s Prophets, Messengers, and angels.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ يَا بِنْتَ خَيْرِ ٱلْبَرِّيَةِ
alssalamu `alayki ya binta khayri albariyyati
Peace be upon you, O daughter of the best of all created beings.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ يَا سِيِّدَةَ نِسَاءِ ٱلْعَالَمينَ
alssalamu `alayki ya sayyidata nisa’i al`alamina
Peace be upon you, O doyenne of all women of the world,
مِنَ ٱلاوَّلِينَ وَٱلآخِرِينَ
min al-awwalina wal-akhirina
including the past and the coming generations.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ يَا زَوْجَةَ وَلِيِّ ٱللَّهِ
alssalamu `alayki ya zawjata waliyyi allahi
Peace be upon you, O lady of the Intimate Servant of Allah
وَخَيْرِ ٱلْخَلْقِ بَعْدَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ
wa khayri alkhalqi ba`da rasuli allahi
and the best of all created beings after the Messenger of Allah.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ يَا امَّ ٱلْحَسَنِ وَٱلْحُسَيْنِ
alssalamu `alayki ya umma alhasani walhusayni
Peace be upon you, O mother of al-Hasan and al-Husayn,
سَيِّدَيْ شَبَابِ اهْلِ ٱلْجَنَّةِ
sayyiday shababi ahli aljannati
the two chiefs of the youth of Paradise.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ ايَّتُهَا ٱلصِّدِّيقَةُ ٱلشَّهِيدَةُ
alssalamu `alayki ayyatuha alssiddiqatu alshshahidatu
Peace be upon you, O veracious and martyr.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ ايَّتُهَا ٱلرَّضِيَّةُ ٱلْمَرْضِيَّةُ
alssalamu `alayki ayyatuha alrradiyyatu almardiyyatu
Peace be upon you, O content and pleased.
اَلسلاَمُ علَيْكِ ايَّتُهَا ٱلْفَاضِلةُ ٱلزَّكِيةُ
alssalamu `alayki ayyatuha alfadilatu alzzakiyyatu
Peace be upon you, O virtuous and pure.
اَلسلاَمُ علَيْكِ ايَّتُهَا ٱلْحَوْرَاءُ ٱلإِنْسِيَّةُ
alssalamu `alayki ayyatuha alhawra’u al-insiyyatu
Peace be upon you, O Paradisiacal human being.
اَلسلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ ايَّتُهَا ٱلتَّقِيَّةُ ٱلنَّقِيَّةُ
alssalamu `alayki ayyatuha alttaqiyyatu alnnaqiyyatu
Peace be upon you, O pious and immaculate.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ ايَّتُهَا ٱلْمُحَدَّثَةُ ٱلْعَلِيمَةُ
alssalamu `alayki ayyatuha almuhaddathatu al`alimatu
Peace be upon you, O one talked by the angels, O knowledgeable.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ ايَّتُهَا ٱلْمَظْلُومَةُ ٱلْمَغْصُوبَةُ
alssalamu `alayki ayyatuha almazlumatu almaghsubatu
Peace be upon you, O oppressed lady whose right was usurped.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ ايَّتُهَا ٱلْمُضْطَهَدَةُ ٱلْمَقْهُورَةُ
alssalamu `alayki ayyatuha almudtahadatu almaqhuratu
Peace be upon you, O persecuted and maltreated.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ يَا فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ
alssalamu `alayki ya fatimatu binta rasuli allahi
Peace be upon you, O Fatimah the daughter of the Messenger of Allah.
وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu
So be upon you the mercy and blessings of Allah.
صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْكِ
salla allahu `alayki
May Allah bless you,
وَعَلَىٰ رُوحِكِ وَبَدَنِكِ
wa `ala ruhiki wa badaniki
your soul, and your body.
اشْهَدُ انَّكِ مَضَيْتِ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّكِ
ashhadu annaki madayti `ala bayyinatin min rabbiki
I bear witness that you have spent your life with full awareness of your duty towards your Lord;
وَانَّ مَنْ سَرَّكِ فَقَدْ سَرَّ رَسُولَ ٱللَّهِ
wa anna man sarraki faqad sarra rasula allahi
and (I bear witness) that he who pleases you will have pleased the Messenger of Allah,
صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ
salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi
peace be upon him and his Household,
وَمَنْ جَفَاكِ فَقَدْ جَفَا رَسُولَ ٱللَّهِ
wa man jafaki faqad jafa rasula allahi
he who displeases you will have displeased the Messenger of Allah,
صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ
salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi
peace be upon him and his Household,
وَمَنْ آذَاكِ فَقَدْ آذَىٰ رَسُولَ ٱللَّهِ
wa man adhaki faqad adha rasula allahi
he who harms you will have harmed the Messenger of Allah,
صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ
salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi
peace be upon him and his Household,
وَمَنْ وَصَلَكِ فَقَدْ وَصَلَ رَسُولَ ٱللَّهِ
wa man wasalaki faqad wasala rasula allahi
he who respects you will have respected the Messenger of Allah,
صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ
salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi
peace be upon him and his Household,
وَمَنْ قَطَعَكِ فَقَدْ قَطَعَ رَسُولَ ٱللَّهِ
wa man qata`aki faqad qata`a rasula allahi
and he who disrespects you will have disrespected the messenger of Allah,
صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ
salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi
peace be upon him and his Household.
لاِنَّكِ بِضْعَةٌ مِنْهُ
li’annaki bid`atun minhu
This is because you are an inseparable part of him (i.e. the Holy Prophet),
وَرُوحُهُ ٱلَّذِي بَيْنَ جَنْبَيْهِ
wa ruhuhu alladhi bayna janbayhi
and you are his soul with which he lives.
اشْهِدُ ٱللَّهَ وَمَلائِكَتَهُ
ushhidu allaha wa mala’ikatahu
I ask Allah and His angels to be the witnesses
انّي وَلِيٌّ لِمَنْ وَالاَكِ
anni waliyyun liman walaki
that I am the friend of him who adheres to you,
وَعَدُوٌّ لِمَنْ عَادَاكِ
wa `aduwwun liman `adaki
I am the enemy of him who makes an enemy of you,
وَحَرْبٌ لِمَنْ حَارَبَكِ
wa harbun liman harabaki
and I am in war against him who wages war against you.
انَا يَا مَوْلاَتِي بِكِ وَبِابِيكِ
ana ya mawlati biki wa bi’abiki
O my doyenne, I have full faith in you, your father,
وَبَعْلِكِ وَٱلائِمَّةِ مِنْ وُلْدِكِ مُوقِنٌ
wa ba`liki wal-a’immati min wuldiki muqinun
your husband, and your sons—the Imams,
وَبِوِلاَيَتِهِمْ مُؤْمِنٌ
wa biwilayatihim mu’minun
I believe in their (Divinely commissioned) leadership,
وَلِطَاعَتِهِمْ مُلْتَزِمٌ
wa lita`atihim multazimun
and I commit myself to the obedience to them.
اشْهَدُ انَّ ٱلدِّينَ دِينُهُمْ
ashhadu anna alddina dinuhum
I bear witness that their religion is the true religion,
وَٱلْحُكْمَ حُكْمُهُمْ
walhukma hukmuhum
their command is the true command,
وَهُمْ قَدْ بَلَّغُوٱ عَنِ ٱللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ
wa hum qad ballaghu `ani allahi `azza wa jalla
they have conveyed on behalf of Almighty Allah (flawlessly),
وَدَعَوْٱ إِلَىٰ سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ بِٱلْحِكْمَةِ وَٱلْمَوْعِظَةِ ٱلْحَسَنَةِ
wa da`aw ila sabili allahi bilhikmati walmaw`izati alhasanati
and they have called to the Way of Allah with wisdom and fair exhortation.
لاَ تَاخُذُهُمْ فِي ٱللَّهِ لَوْمَةُ لاَئِمٍ
la ta’khudhuhum fi allahi lawmatu la’imin
They have never feared the blame of anyone concerning carrying out their duty towards Almighty Allah.
وَصَلَوَاتُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكِ
wa salawatu allahi `alayki
Blessings of Allah be upon you
وَعَلَىٰ ابِيكِ وَبَعْلِكِ
wa `ala abiki wa ba`liki
and upon your father, your husband,
وَذُرِّيَّتِكِ ٱلائِمَّةِ ٱلطَّاهِرِينَ
wa dhurriyyatiki al-a’immati alttahirina
and your descendants—the Immaculate Imams.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاهْلِ بَيْتِهِ
allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ahli baytihi
O Allah, (please do) send blessings upon Muhammad and his Household
وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ ٱلْبَتُولِ ٱلطَّاهِرَةِ
wa salli `ala albatuli alttahirati
and send blessings upon the chaste, the immaculate,
ٱلصِّدِّيقَةِ ٱلْمَعْصُومَةِ
alssiddiqati alma`sumati
the veracious, the infallible,
ٱلتَّقِيَّةِ ٱلنَّقِيَّةِ
alttaqiyyati alnnaqiyyati
pious, pure,
ٱلرَّضِيَّةِ ٱلْمَرْضِيَّةِ
alrradiyyati almardiyyati
amiable, well-pleased,
ٱلزَّكِيَّةِ ٱلرَّشِيدَةِ
alzzakiyyati alrrashidati
virtuous, right-minded,
ٱلْمَظْلُومَةِ ٱلْمَقْهُورَةِ
almazlumati almaqhurati
oppressed, and wronged lady
ٱلْمَغْصُوبَةِ حَقُّهَا
almaghsubati haqquha
whose right was usurped,
ٱلْمَمْنُوعَةِ إِرْثُهَا
almamnu`ati irthuha
whose right of inheritance was violated,
ٱلْمَكْسُورَةِ ضِلْعُهَا
almaksurati dil`uha
whose rib was broken,
ٱلْمَظْلُومِ بَعْلُهَا
almazlumi ba`luha
whose husband was persecuted,
ٱلْمَقْتُولِ وَلَدُهَا
almaqtuli waladuha
and whose son was slain;
فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ رَسُولِكَ
fatimata binti rasulika
(she is) Fatimah: the daughter of Your Messenger,
وَبَضْعَةِ لَحْمِهِ
wa bad`ati lahmihi
the inseparable part of his flesh,
وَصَمِيمِ قَلْبِهِ
wa samimi qalbihi
the essence of his heart,
وَفِلْذَةِ كَبِدِهِ
wa fildhati kabidihi
the piece of his innermost,
وَٱلنُّخْبَةِ مِنْكَ لَهُ
walnnukhbati minka lahu
the choice of You for him,
وَٱلتُّحْفَةِ خَصَصْتَ بِهَا وَصِيَّهُ
walttuhfati khasasta biha wasiyyahu
the gift that You have given exclusively to the Successor of him,
وَحَبِيبَةِ ٱلْمُصْطَفَىٰ
wa habibati almustafa
the most beloved of the Preferred Prophet,
وَقَرِينَةِ ٱلْمُرْتَضَىٰ
wa qarinati almurtada
the wife of the Pleased Successor,
وَسَيِّدَةِ ٱلنِّسَاءِ
wa sayyidati alnnisa’i
the doyenne of all women,
وَمُبَشِّرَةِ ٱلاوْلِيَاءِ
wa mubashshirati al-awliya’i
the conveyor of good tidings to the intimate servants (of Almighty Allah),
حَلِيفَةِ ٱلْوَرَعِ وَٱلزُّهْدِ
halifati alwara`i walzzuhdi
the inseparable from piety and asceticism,
وَتُفَّاحَةِ ٱلْفِرْدَوْسِ وَٱلْخُلْدِ
wa tuffahati alfirdawsi walkhuldi
and the Apple of the Heaven and Eternity (in Paradise);
ٱلَّتِي شَرَّفْتَ مَوْلِدَهَا بِنِسَاءِ ٱلْجَنَّةِ
allati sharrafta mawlidaha binisa’i aljannati
(she is) the lady through whose birth You have honored the women of Paradise,
وَسَلَلْتَ مِنْهَا انْوَارَ ٱلائِمَّةِ
wa salalta minha anwara al-a’immati
from whom You have pulled the Lights of the Imams,
وَارْخَيْتَ دُونَهَا حِجَابَ ٱلنُّبُوَّةِ
wa arkhayta dunaha hijaba alnnubuwwati
and fixed the Veil of Prophethood.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَيْهَا
allahumma salli `alayha
O Allah, (please do) confer upon her
صَلاةً تَزِيدُ فِي مَحَلِّهَا عِنْدَكَ
salatan tazidu fi mahalliha `indaka
with blessings that raise her standing
وَشَرَفِهَا لَدَيْكَ
wa sharafiha ladayka
and honor with You,
وَمَنْزِلَتِهَا مِنْ رِضَاكَ
wa manzilatiha min ridaka
raise her position from Your Pleasure,
وَبَلِّغْهَا مِنَّا تَحِيَّةً وَسَلاَماً
wa ballighha minna tahiyyatan wa salaman
convey to her our greetings and compliments,
وَآتِنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ فِي حُبِّهَا فَضْلاً وَإِحْسَاناً
wa atina min ladunka fi hubbha fadlan wa ihsanan
and grant us, from You on account of our love for her, favor, kindness,
وَرَحْمَةً وَغُفْرَاناً
wa rahmatan wa ghufranan
mercy, and forgiveness.
إِنَّكَ ذُو ٱلْعَفْوِ ٱلْكَرِيمِ
innaka dhul`afwi alkarimi
Verily, You are the All-generous Lord of pardon.
